Dr. Janelle Wills | Board Member

Dr. Janelle Wills is originally from a small family farm in Dysart, Pennsylvania. Here she cultivated her love of animals and raised pigs, sheep, goats, and Haflinger horses. When she wasn't helping her parents with barn chores, Janelle played softball with her younger sister every summer. Throughout high school and college, she would help her sister's and cousins' softball teams and was an assistant coach for Chester Springs Youth Softball.

Janelle attended undergrad at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA, where she continued her softball career and was a three-year letter winner. She then furthered her education by attending one year at Ross School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts West Indies. Janelle then transferred back to the US and obtained her doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. While studying in vet school, she joined a softball team in West Philly in 2015 and soon after became a player with Philadelphia Adult League Softball (PALS). Through the league Janelle has participated in USA Quickball training and field clean-ups, and the most recent PALS service trip to Sierra Leone.

Janelle is currently a small animal veterinarian and practices in the Philadelphia suburbs. In her spare time outside of softball, Janelle volunteers on the board of directors for the Alumni Association of Wilson College and enjoys cooking, baking, painting, and other outdoor activities.
