    Kathryn Riley | Assistant Secretary

    Kathryn Riley is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and an assistant coach for the NCAA Division III varsity women's softball team at Swarthmore College. Prior to her current position she completed postdoctoral training at the National Institutes of Standards and Technology, a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Wake Forest University, and a BA in Chemistry with minors in Mathematics and Educational Studies from Swarthmore College. As an undergraduate student at Swarthmore, Kathryn competed for the varsity women's softball team and was a four-time first-team All-Conference selection and two-time All-Region selection.

     

    Kathryn grew up in southern Delaware and currently resides in Swarthmore, PA. She still enjoys playing softball and has competed in Philadelphia Adult League Softball (PALS) since 2016. She also resides on the board and was a former assistant to the director of the Simmons Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to provide college access to high-achieving underrepresented youth.
