    Kelly O'Connor | Co-Founder

    Kelly O’Connor (she/her) is the Director and Co-Founder of Philadelphia Adult League Softball, a mixed-gender recreational softball league in Philadelphia with a focus on community engagement and inclusion. She has nearly fifteen years of non-profit management experience, having previously served for more than a decade at the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House in a range of roles including as the Director of Strategic Initiatives. She also served as the Program Director for the Emergency Services Corps AmeriCorps program with the YMCA of Delaware and as the Assistant Coordinator for the federally-funded Weed & Seed community revitalization initiative with the Ministry of Caring, Inc.

     

    She has a bachelor’s degree from Drew University, where she majored in U.S. Studies and minored in Creative Writing, and a master’s degree in International Peace & Conflict Resolution from Arcadia University, where she interned with Heifer International Sierra Leone and with United Nations Volunteers for Chornobyl in Ukraine and completed courses with fieldwork in Rwanda, Serbia and Kosovo, Ukraine, Northern Ireland, and Costa Rica. She is from Wilmington, Delaware and lives with her husband Steve and their dog Isa and cat Roxy.
