Our Team

Sam Romain is a lifelong baseball and softball fan who grew up taking summer trips to Jacobs Field in Cleveland and playing on local and travel teams. He studied Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University and is now pursuing a graduate degree in School and Mental Health Counseling at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. Sam’s goal is to help young people find innovative paths to happiness through reliability, authenticity, and kindness.

Since relocating from Cleveland to Philadelphia in 2021, Sam has played in Philadelphia Adult League Softball, finding competition, friendship, and a way to connect with his community. He has facilitated USA Quickball camps in Philadelphia and Belize and supported More Than Sports programming in West Philadelphia. In 2024 and 2025, he joined Softball for Success in Sierra Leone as a fundraiser and softball instruction coach and had the opportunity to lead a mental health workshop with the group of camp participants. Outside of sports, he loves technology, science fiction, and alternative rock.
